5 Seconds of Summer is an Australian pop rock band. It was formed in Sidney in 2011 by Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin (18-20 years old). They started uploading videos on YouTube of themselves covering songs from various artists. All started when Luke, Calum and Michael, who all atended the same school, started to post videos on Luke's YouTube channel singing and playing just the guitar. Their Cover of Chris Brown's "Next to you" got a lot of visits. Later, they were joined by the drummer, Ashton, and the band was complete. They attracted some interest from major music labels and publishers, and have signed a publishing deal with Sony ATV Music Publishing. Their first music release was an EP entitled "Unplugged", reached number 3 on the iTunes chart in Australia. Their international following increased significantly once again when One Direction member Louis Tomlinson posted the link to their YouTube video of their song "Gotta Get Out", and later when they released their first single "Out of my limit" was Niall Horan who tweeted the link of the video clip. On 14 February 2013, it was announced that 5 Seconds of Summer would support One Direction on their worldwide Take Me Home Tour, and then a lot of One Direction fans became to 5 Seconds of Summer fans. Their genres of music are not the same, but as people, they are very similar and the connection between the two groups is amazing. On my point of view, Luke, Ashton, Michael and Calum are very talented people, who sing very well and write their own amazing songs. Also, they are funny, kind, cute and very very handsome. You can hear the new and first album of 5 Seconds of Summer on YouTube or Spotify. I'm telling you, THEY ARE SO COOL!
