Teleton Chile, referred to simply as "Telethon", is a television charity event held almost every year in Chile, except in those years in which policy choices are made, since 1978. Teleton Chile was the first telethon in Latin America and, because of its success, has been emulated in other countries in the region. Chile's Telethon is hosted by the Telethon Foundation.

uninterrupted hours in duration, produced and broadcast on all national television networks involving all print media and radio. Proceeds from the event, held usually on the last weekend of November or the first weekend of December, are used for the construction and maintenance of the Children's Rehabilitation Institute for the treatment of children with motor disabilities.

This year, the amount of money needed for the maintenance of the border rehabilitation institutes twenty two billion pesos,

which will be used for the benefit of disabled people in our country.

Therefore, the Telethon is one of the important ma benificencia campaigns in Latin America.

Hello everyone! My name is Nicolás. I am an 20-year-old chilean boy, born and raised in Villarrica. I consider myself as a cheerful and friendly person, so I really like meeting new people. I enjoy doing sports and taking photographs. I'm very grateful to "Project Friends Chile" for allowing me to know different cultures and places.
